She started to paint after retiring from her styling career. She embraced it with the same passion and dedication that she had applied to her successful career. She has been in many shows and have won many award for her paintings- the latest in 2018 for Joy of Life . Doris has become known for her local scenes with a nautical chart in the background as well as her bright bold poppies. Her work is in many private’s collections here and abroad and sells her work in the Coastal Art Gallery [Sechelt] as well as from her web site.
