Victor Gligor was born in Romania spending his youth in Transylvania one of the most beautiful and multicultural region of Europe. He discovered quite early his talent for painting and after he came to Canada in 1992, Victor continued to paint discovering the uniqueness and the beauty of Western Canadian landscape.In Victor’s Artist statement he sais: “The inspiration of my work comes from memories of a time, place or emotion that I encountered. In nature I find the most amazing colours and perfect imperfections, and I feel compelled to share my experience with everyone through my paintings. When I am painting my thoughts are on the compositional problem that I am solving on the canvas.
