Medium: Painting

Liz Boulton was born in the industrial town of Hamilton, Ontario.  As a teen, her art class took a field trip to the newly opened Hamilton Art Gallery.  It was then her world changed forever.  Liz was opened up to a new world of colour, texture, form and endless possibilities. As a young woman she moved to British Columbia where the natural beauty and surroundings impacted her creative mind.  Wildlife and beautiful landscapes were abundant.  Her work reflects on her life experiences as she paints in acrylics, watercolours and mixed media. Her love of birds including chickadees, herons, owls and hummingbirds are a reoccurring subject in her paintings and illustrations.  Her work has been described as mystic and intuitive.
