Medium: Woodworker

Gord has lived in Maple Ridge for 65 years. A family man with 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Gord has been involved in wood all his life - from logging, sawmilling and building log structures. Gord has been wood turning since 2005, mostly with bird's eye maple and burls. He enjoys doing various shapes and sizes adding turquoise sometimes to complete the item. He has vessels, bowls, cheese boards, candle holders and more. He also does burl tables as well as slab tables of various sizes. His work is for sale and on display in the gallery in the lower level of his log home. Gord is fortunate to have a large shop to do all his work at home. All proceeds from Woodtic Gallery go to Ridge-Meadows Hospital, Variety and local charities.
