Medium: Sculpture, Painting

Raeanne began painting in 2018 shortly after attending a workshop in France (instructor Shari Pratt). She continued her studies and experimenting, finding her own unique style when she discovered her muse, "The Dame". Through these abstract portraits and figurative paintings, Raeanne tells women's stories using bold colours and edgy lines. In 2022, she attended Preschool for Grownups (instructor, Lynn Falconer) where she discovered sculpture and now divides her practice between painting and sculpting. Raeanne's recent collection, "Dames: Women & Movement" was created especially for this Tour.  Up next, a new group of Dames for her first American solo exhibit at Unchained.Art Contemporary Gallery in Austin, Texas from August 29 to October 13, 2024. Raeanne lives and works in Maple Ridge. She is an Active Status Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and is a board member of the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Art Studio Tour.
