Sandy was born in Vancouver B.C. and now resides in Mission, on lovely Hatzic Lake, which gives her endless inspiration! She is basically self-taught but has gained much in technique from varied art classes and painting retreats throughout her journey. Sandy has an eye for the richness of nature and she is constantly in the process of transferring to canvas or wood, the awesome colours and beauty of form she sees in the world around her. Sandy's go-to paint is acrylic, but she has dabbled in almost every other medium. She employs a colourful, realistic style, giving attention to very fine detail. She also loves subjects like birds, boats, landscapes, and floral compositions. Her latest obsession is painting on glassware. Sandy is a member of The Federation Of Canadian Artist’s, The Garibaldi Art Club, Mission Art Council, and The Mission Artist’s Association.
