Talieh Carmel is a potter who utilizes wheel thrown ware and sculptural elements to question what is at the core of humanity. She draws on her own reality to analyze how her limited experiences can relate to others and ideally offer an empathetic perspective. Her work often represents relationships of an individual to their self and others. Examples of these relationships include motherhood, memory, trauma responses, and one's perception in society. She depicts this through various building techniques, specific placement, colour, and functionality of her work.
